Enjoy a fully led and resourced exploration of Cromford Mills and Cromford Village. This enquiry-based day will allow your class to use a variety of source material, including paintings, text, artefacts and a CGI audio visual experience that brings Richard Arkwright to life, to build up a picture of this important man from history and find out how he became known as the ‘Father of the Factory System’.

This session supports the Key Stage 1 history curriculum and explores significant historical events, people and places in their own locality as well as the lives of significant individuals in the past who have contributed to national and international achievements’ (KS1 History)
