Samuel Oldknow: His Life and His Legacy
On Tuesday 15th July 2014 at 7pm in the Gothic Warehouse Bob Humphrey-Taylor of the Mellor Archaeological Trust dons costume to tell the story of Samuel Oldknow, muslin maker and cotton spinner and his connections to the Arkwrights of Cromford.
Bob Humphrey-Taylor of the Mellor Archaeological Trust will then leave Samuel Oldknow behind to explain how the Trust is revealing his legacy with an archaeological dig thanks to the support of an HLF grant.
